Event Description:
Recognizing and treating the unique symptoms of geriatric mental disorders requires specialized knowledge. While current research in geriatric mental disorders provides us with data on evidence-based screening and treatment, there is a shortage of health and human service professionals with training in geriatric mental health. This seminar focuses on screening and treatment of depression and anxiety disorders in the elderly. By participating in this program you will better understand and be able to collaboratively work with providers to treat the complexities of geriatric mental disorders. Who Should Attend: Any human services or health care professional that works with the elderly. Fee: $150 including instruction, course materials, refreshments, and lunch the day of the program
